What Is Manifesting and the Law of Attraction (LOA)?
Have you heard of manifesting or the LOA? What is it really?
Renowned author Jack Canfield says
Simply put, the Law of Attraction says that you will attract into your life whatever you focus on. Whatever you give your energy and attention to will come back to you.
So, if you stay focused on the good and positive things in your life, you will automatically attract more good and positive things into your life. If you are focused upon lack and negativity, then that is what will be attracted into your life.
Here’s how it works: Like attracts like. If you are feeling excited, enthusiastic, passionate, happy, joyful, appreciative, or abundant, then you are sending out positive energy. On the other hand, if you are feeling bored, anxious, stressed out, angry, resentful, or sad, you are sending out negative energy.”

As stated above, you get what you are sending out, you will get whichever feelings you are sending out.
This is great!
Because that means that you create the world around you. You don’t have to wait for any circumstances to change to be happy and create abundance. You don’t have to wait for the right person to come around to feel in love. You can be happy and feel abundant now! You can be in love with yourself, your cat, your friends now! You don’t have to have money in your bank account to feel abundant. You can look at the many leaves on a tree, see all of the drops of water in the ocean, or breathe in the abundance of air to feel abundant.
On the other hand, you can choose to stay feeling in lack, lonely, or fearful, ignoring the choice to be positive. What your 5 senses are showing you is already manifested, it’s old news. So, you can choose to stay right there and continue the loop, focusing your attention on what you can see, therefore once again continuing to create what you see or you can break the loop and create a new future and a new reality by focusing on the unmanifested.
By taking responsibility for your reality you can focus your intentions on high vibrating emotions. You can take control of your reactions to situations. And guess what happens when you do that? You create the life of your dreams.
What Have You Heard About Manifesting?
“It’s easy! Just visualize what you want. Just believe it and it will come. Really feel it. See it in your mind. Make a vision board.” I’m sure you’ve heard all those things and more. But if it is so easy, why isn’t everything that I want here?
It’s All About Vibration
We are all energetic beings. We are all vibrating at a certain frequency all the time. And as soon as we think of something we want, we create it energetically. This is super exciting because that means that it is already there. All we have to do is match the frequency it is vibrating at.

So, how do we get our energy in this physically dense 3D reality to vibrate with what we want and have created energetically?

The Big Steps
If you are like me, you’ve heard the word manifestation being thrown around for some time now. Many people have said this in many different ways over the years and it sounds like such a simple process. Here are the basic steps:
- Know What You Want
- See, Visualize, & Focus On What You Want
- Feel It Like You Already Have It
- Let It Go
Finally, It Manifests!!
It’s The Law Of Attraction, they say, “it will work every time”. And you say, “Well then, where is my million dollars?”
Well, if you are reading this article then probably you have tried these steps and got nothing or maybe the opposite. Why is that?
The Elusive Missing Steps
What you’ve been told is missing some steps. What are these steps?
- Know What You Want
That’s obvious, you think to yourself. “I want a million dollars”.
First, as this is not a spectator sport, we have to create something. And to create something we must have energy around it, and to have energy behind it there must be a “why”. Why do you want it?
Think about money. It is a common goal that most of us want more of however, money in of itself has no value, unless we give it power. It gives us the power to buy the things we want and desire. Behind your why are your beliefs about why you want it. But are you sure they’re your beliefs? They could be your parents, friend’s or society’s? Your beliefs about what brings you what you want in life to bring happiness need to be in line with your heart, not anyone else’s thoughts or opinions. 2. Focus On What You Want
This is probably the biggest hurdle to overcome. This is why many people don’t get too far into the details or don’t talk about it at all.
Why?
Because, and I am going to be honest with you here, it’s “hard”, takes energy and can be painful. However, it is far less painful than staying where you are, looking back on your life with regret, and never fulling your purpose.
What’s So Hard?
The difficult part is changing your subconscious beliefs and mindset and letting go of the blocks that are holding you back. Although this is a tall order and generally takes some time, it is definitely doable and when you come out on the other side, magnificent! Others have done it before you and you can do it too! Where Is Your Focus?
#1) We can focus on what we want all day long but if we are not comfortable with what we want we won’t be manifesting it. We will be sending energy in the opposite direction. For example, how much are you comfortable with earning every month? Think about a number in your head and then keep going higher until a number makes you uncomfortable.
If you make $2,000/month, think about how that feels and thoughts that come up. Some of you may balk and say please, that’s too low, others may say that’s comfortable. How about $5,000/month. Are you comfortable? $10,000/month? $15,000/month? $20,000/month? $25,000/month? Keep going until you reach a number where your stomach starts tightening, or you start feeling discomfort in your body. There it is, that’s the block!
So, if you start feeling uncomfortable at $20,000 but you want to make $1,000,000/year, you are going to be sending out vibes of resistance and attracting the opposite whenever you think about being a millionaire. You have to get to the bottom of what your blocks are and start getting over them in order to attract what you want. Although the links above are helpful many of us need to go more in-depth. #2) For every desire to have something there is an equal and opposite feeling of not having what you want. And unfortunately when we focus on what we do want we start thinking of what we don’t have. This starts you in the process of thinking of what you don’t have and then guess what you will manifest? What you don’t have.
3. Feel It
Again, you need to be in harmony with what you are feeling. However, this part can be easier because, if we use the example above, don’t focus on a number, focus on the emotion behind what this amount of money will bring into your life. You don’t want money just to have the paper. If the paper printed was sold as wrapping paper you wouldn’t care to have it, place importance on it, and create a persona based around it. You want money for the things that it can bring into your life and the way those things make you feel.

Well, instead of focusing on the amount of money you want, for example. Focus on feelings of what that money brings you. Stability, fun, freedom, to name a few. And what does that look like for you? 4. Let It Go
There is rarely a time that things manifest in the exact way that you see it manifesting. The universe has our back and will bring things together in a perfect way. Usually not our way. Again, visualizing your desires and making a vision board where the pictures usually bring with it not only what it is but how it will come to you. This can also create feelings of being defeated, uncomfortable, and anxious will only bring manifestations that produce those same feelings instead of you desired result. That is why the feeling board will help you get to the next level.
Summing it up. There are many parts to the steps. You just have to know what they are and be willing to dive into yourself, remove the blocks and set yourself free. Is this a magic pill? No. But will this lead you to manifest your dreams? Yes!
